Product Specifications
Fully Automatic 2,4,or 6 Station Inserters
The versatile 6602 Series adapts to most any folding and inserting
application. Two, four, and six-station Standard, Special, and Custom models
offer the flexibility to meet your specific needs. The 6602-Standard models
have all automatic feeders, while the 6602-Special models offer two special
feeders (4 or 6-station) or one special feeder (2-station), with the
remaining feeders automatic. For increased flexibility, the 6602-Custom
models allow for any combination of special or automatic feeders to suit
virtually any application. Each configuration is also available as a “B”
model* for inserting bottom-address documents into top-flap envelopes.
Standard features include a reversible full-color touchscreen control
panel, a large power stacker which can hold up to 500 filled envelopes,
along with a large top-loading envelope hopper with a capacity of up to 500
envelopes. Options include five levels of Optical Mark Recognition, a thin
booklet feeder, 1 or 2 high-capacity production feeders, high-capacity
output conveyor and envelope hopper, short feed trays, cabinets and Formax 400 Series Joggers.
*Standard models cannot be upgraded to "B" models.
Flexible
The 6602 Series is available with two, four, or six feeders to meet your
changing business demands. Documents up to 14” long, including checks,
invoices and reply envelopes, can be inserted in almost any combination.
Special feeders are capable of handling glossy or thicker stock. One or
two optional production feeders provide the ability to feed up to 325
BREs or 1,200 sheets each or a combined input of up to 750 BREs or 2,400
sheets. The 6602 Series offers two standard output systems: a
high-capacity power stacker, where documents are output in their
original order, and a side exit, ideal for sorting documents based on
thickness, OMR marks and postal rates. The optional high-capacity
envelope hopper and output conveyor can each hold up to 1,000 envelopes,
providing advanced inserting capabilities. Powerful
The 6602 Series processes up to 4,300 envelopes per hour, producing up to
80,000 finished pieces per month. The powerful system folds up to 10 sheets
in half-fold and up to 8 sheets in tri-fold mode. Each standard feeder holds
up to 325 sheets, with a cascade mode to maximize output by connecting
multiple feeders filled with the same document. When one feeder empties, the
next automatically starts feeding, for a total capacity of up to 1,950
sheets. The top-loading envelope hopper holds up to 500 envelopes, while the
large power stacker holds up to 500 filled envelopes. Secure
Double document detectors are located at the feeder and the insertion area
to ensure that no double documents are fed into the system. The 6602 Series
utilizes electromechanical detectors which can operate with any print
density, paper color, thickness or paper dust. Documents requiring
inspection or special handling can be diverted automatically into the divert
station, without interruption. The optional Single-track and Dual-track
Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) features allow for the automatic insertion of
multiple-page documents, eliminating the tedious task of manually collating
and inserting. Several OMR options are available to meet various document
security requirements.
Easy to Operate
The color touchscreen control panel is centrally located with a
flip-down display that can be used from either side of the inserter. With
the AutoSetTM feature, all adjustments such as fold type, fold length,
envelope size, paper length, and double-document detection are set
automatically, simply load the material and go. Up to 25 jobs can be
programmed for recurring or frequently processed applications, and the
top-loading envelope hopper and feeder cascade mode maximize operator
efficiency and increase output.
