for standard laser printing with a standard toner cartridge as the MICR
features are only active when printing negotiable documents and when a
certified MICR toner cartridge is in place. The Infoprint 1130/1140 Secure MICR printers offer: Guaranteed ANSI and ABA standards acceptance MICR toner sensing, toner low alarm and toner gauge Preset paper type ensures proper toner adhesion MICR related error messages assist in troubleshooting MICR Performance Guarantee Printer Security Workgroup check printing requires security measures to protect your organization against check fraud. Our secure MICR printers prevent unauthorized users from creating checks by storing check-related resources in password protected memory, and locking out changes to printer properties such as copy count. With the addition of flash memory, the printer can provide an audit trail report of all MICR documents printed. Additional security features include: Password Protection Prevents unauthorized printing of checks and other negotiable documents by denying access to E13B and CMC7 MICR fonts and other custom resources, such as signatures and forms overlays, without entering the proper password. Paper Tray Lock Allows a printer command to be sent that prevents access to specific paper trays. Works in conjunction with a physical tray lock (optional) that provides key access to check stock. Front Panel Security Lock For extra security beyond password protection. User must enter an 8 digit combination prior to printing. If entered 3 times incorrectly, the printer flushes the job, but can print in non-MICR mode. Datastream Tray Lock Prevents unauthorized applications from printing on your check stock. MICR Toner Detection Detects whether MICR or regular toner is installed in the printer and prevents the printing of MICR documents with regular toner. Bidirectional Feedback Provides the option of feeding back all MICR settings and Audit Trail details to the host system for central monitoring of MICR activity. Hex Trace Protection Prevents password decoding. Audit Trail Records user-defined fields that include check printing activity. Highly useful for auditing purposes. Disable Jam Recover Turns jam recovery off to prevent multiple copies of a check from being printed. Set Copies to One Allows only one copy of a document to be printed. Command Pass Through Supports printer-based electronic forms solutions. Form overlays are stored in the printer's memory and then merged with application data based on commands embedded in the data stream. Data Encryption and Decryption Our printers support DES data decryption (optional). External Security Device Optional hardware connected to the printer that requires the user to swipe a magnetic card or input a PIN prior to gaining access to MICR resources. This solution is particularly attractive for situations with challenging security issues, such as remote distributed printing of MICR documents. Features/Options available are dependent on specific printer model. Fonts These printers come complete with a MICR font (E-13B or CMC-7), as well as our Secure Amount and MicroPrint fonts designed to deter check fraud. All fonts are specifically designed for optimum performance with our secure MICR printers. |
