Laser Check Security Features

  Our business is to use the newest developments in printing and paper technology to safeguard your business from becoming a victim of counterfeiters and crooks.  We have the tools to safeguard all types of business documents.

Relyco carries blank check stock containing 10 to 16 of the security features below.  Custom laser checks are available with  as few or as many security features as you require.  		 
       
 

Gradient Two-Color Pantograph
 A multi-color background in which two colors change density and blend into each other, making it very difficult to reproduce accurately on a color copier.

  Copy-Void in Check Pantograph
 When a check is photocopied, the word VOID appears on the photocopy.

  Simulated Watermark
 Simulated watermarks have a different reflectance than the base paper and can only be seen at an angle. The white ink cannot be copied or scanned.

  Fourdrinier True Watermark
 This feature is manufactured into the paper creating images within the paper which are visible when held up to an ordinary light source.

  Microprinting
 Words are printed so small that they appear as a line to the naked eye. Only when magnified do the microprinted words become visible, making it extremely difficult to duplicate with a copier or scanner.

  Padlock Security Icon
 On front of the check, the icon alerts the teller that there are security features. On the back of the check, the security features are then detailed for the teller.

  Warning Band
 This feature alerts the teller and/or check recipient to the presence of security features which can be verified before processing the check.

 "Non-Negotiable" is printed on the back of the check stub to prevent fraudulent use of check stock.

  Covert Fluorescent Fibers

  Solvent Reactive Color Spotting

  Positive Pay
 Although all of the above security features are good deterrents, they cannot prevent all check fraud.  Positive Pay is a service offered by banks to help fight check fraud.  Positive Pay requires verification of check number and check value before the check is processed.  This is accomplished by sending the bank a list of checks that have been processed and then verifying and clearing the checks against that list.
