REVLAR™ waterproof laser paper is a synthetic material designed for those applications where traditional laser paper would be unable to withstand the environmental conditions.
Waterproof, tear-resistant and durable, REVLAR laser paper is impervious to grease and chemicals, and designed to withstand high and low temperature fluctuations.
Laser-compatible REVLAR offers the image quality and printability of standard paper and can be folded, punched or die cut as needed, making it valuable for thousands of applications in a range of industries—including hospitality, retail, education, healthcare and government. Plus, REVLAR is available in a range of weights, sizes and colors.
REVLAR waterproof laser paper eliminates the need for expensive and time-consuming lamination of printed materials.
Since REVLAR waterproof laser paper is made from a synthetic material, there are a few special storage and handling requirements.
Allow sheets to acclimate in the room in which they will be processes for approximately 24 hours before processing. Ensure that the cartons are opened and any shrinkwrap is removed.
Note: Static build-up may occur during long runs; this may interfere with the running/stacking of media. In addition, minimal side-to-side color shifts may be visible when auto duplexing.
REVLAR has special aqueous surface coatings designed to optimize print performance, which make it a Number 7, or Miscellaneous, Plastic. The acceptance of this type of plastic for recycling varies, so it is important to check local authority guidelines. When recycled, number 7 plastics are typically used in “lumber” and custom-made materials.
REVLAR can be incinerated safely as a potential source of energy, but should be incinerated according to local regulations.
An inert material, REVLAR can also be buried in approved landfill facilities.
