Identification Wristbands

For those who are currently using direct thermal technology for wrist band and ID bracelet printing, and who cannot justify the cost of switching to laser technology (LaserBand^Ž), Relyco does carry a thermal alternative. LaserBand^Ž has introduced FusionBand^TM, a direct thermal version of its patient wristband that can be used in most thermal printers.

FusionBand Direct Thermal ID Wristbands

FusionBand^TM ID bracelets are the first and only self-laminating, direct thermal printing patient wristbands on the market. The FusionBand^TM product line is easy to implement because it fits most direct thermal printers currently in the field. It is also easy to assemble, and generates clear images that are easy to read or scan when used with barcode technology.

While the Fusionband ^TM product still has some of the limitations associated with thermal printing, such as the potential for fading and distortion when exposed to a heat source, FusionBand^TM effectively eliminates some of the drawbacks commonly associated with thermal printing of hospital identification bracelets.

For example, FusionBand ^TM does not require separately printed labels to be affixed to a latex wrist band, but instead offers a simple, one-piece application. Also, FusionBand ^TM includes the protective self-laminating seal found on LaserBand^Ž products, which provides resistance to water and alcohol.

Perhaps most importantly, FusionBand ^TM direct thermal patient wrist bands work in your existing thermal printers, so it is not necessary to replace existing equipment with laser printers in order to benefit from some of the advanced features associated with the LaserBand^Ž family of products.
