Carbonless Paper, by any other name....

You'll hear carbonless paper called many different things by many different people.  In order to avoid confusion, here is at least a partial list of possible terms, all of which simply mean "carbonless paper".

  Laser Carbonless (or carbonless laser)
Laser Carbonless Paper (or Carbonless Laser Paper)
  NCR Paper
  Carbon Paper
  Laser NCR Paper
  Image Transfer Paper
  Carbonless NCR
  Xeroform II
  Giroform
  Imation
  TransCopy
  Ecarbonless (or E-carbonless)
  Coated Paper
  Carbon Coated Paper
  Carbonless Coated Paper
  Laser NCR
  CFB Paper
  CF Paper
  CB Paper
  Mulit-Part Paper
  Imaging Paper
  Self-Contained Paper

All of the above forms are different ways to refer to carbonless paper.  However, it is important to note that there is a very significant difference between laser carbonless paper and non-laser carbonless paper.  Using non-laser carbonless paper in a laser printer can cause severe damage to print drums, rollers and other printer components, and is therefore not recommended.  To use a laser printer to produce carbonless forms, one should always be sure to use laser carbonless paper, which is manufactured specifically for laser printers.

Also, as is the case with most Laser Carbonless products, Relyco Laser Carbonless Paper is not guaranteed to be Inkjet compatible.  If you are planning to use Relyco Laser Carbonless Paper in an Inkjet printer, it is imperative that all parts be tested prior to ordering.  Most Inkjet paper is clay coated to help prevent the ink from bleeding through the paper.  It is possible for such bleeding to occur when using Laser Carbonless Paper in an Inkjet printer, especially on the CB (Coated Back) sheets, which lack any coating on the face.  CF (Coated Front) and CFB (Coated Front & Back) are less likely to bleed, but bleeding and other problems can occur.
