Extending Pressure Seal Shelf-Life Do you use Pressure Seal self-mailers? If so you probably already know that Pressure Seal products have a recommended shelf-life of approximately 1 year from the date of manufacture. This is due to the fact that the adhesive that seals the forms gradually decomposes over time. What you may not know, however, is that exposure to air accelerates the decomposition of the adhesive considerably. This means that when you remove the protective shrink-wrap from a ream of Pressure Seal, any unused forms that are not properly stored will begin to deteriorate at a much faster rate than the forms that remain shrink-wrapped. With this in mind, Relyco recommends that you do not remove shrink-wrap from your pressure Seal forms until you are ready to use them, and that you store loose forms in an air-tight container such as a self-sealing plastic bag. For your convenience, Relyco will provide you with FREE bags designed specifically for Pressure Seal forms storage. The bags are thicker than your typical household plastic bags, and they are big enough to hold a full ream (500 sheets) of either 11” or 14” Pressure Seal forms. The convenient Zip-Loc seal makes the bags easy to use, and they also include useful storage and handling instructions to remind users how to properly store Pressure Seal forms for maximum shelf-life and optimum performance in your sealing equipment.
