FREE Laser Printer Loading Instruction Labels Although many people do not realize it, carbonless paper actually has a front side and a back side. When loaded into the printer incorrectly, the wrong side is laser printed, making it impossible for the forms to image properly. Because the carbonless laser paper is blank on both sides, some users do not realize that there is indeed a front and a back side. For this reason, when the laser printed forms fail to image as they should, the users sometimes believe that the forms are defective, when in fact they have simply printed on the wrong side. Part of the confusion can be avoided by observing the product labels on each ream of paper, which are typically marked with arrows to indicate which is the front side of the paper (see illustrations below).
Once it has been determined which is the front of the paper, the user must then load it face-up or face down, according to the specifications of their particular printer. In order to make this step easier, Relyco has created special Laser Printer Loading Labels. These labels can be affixed to the print tray to let the user know which way to load the forms so that they will print and image correctly.
