At Relyco,

laser checks more secure, but the concept of
document security
extends well beyond checks and other financial instruments. If your
business uses prescription forms, legal documents, school transcripts, or
other non-check related security products, Relyco is sure to have a product

One such product is
specific to the Medical and Pharmaceutical industries: Secure
Prescription/Medical Paper. This specially created paper is
laser compatible and has several of the latest
security features incorporated into its design, including the “Rx”
symbol printed in red Thermochromic Ink on the face of the document.
These features include:

Copy-Void Pantographs: These are
specially designed so that the word “Void” will appear when the paper is
photocopied.

Artificial Watermarks: These are
printed using a special, coin-reactive ink which does not show up on
photocopies.

Toner Adhesion: This invisible
coating on both the front and back of the paper help anchor toner
securely to the sheet, making it extremely difficult to alter or remove
toner from the paper.

Fluorescent Fibers: These can
only be seen using a black light and are impossible to replicate with a
copier.

Chemical Reactivity: This paper
is specially formulated so that exposure to solvents – often used to
chemically lift or “wash” toner from the page – will cause noticeable
and indelible stains, making such tampering very obvious and rendering
the paper useless.

Thermochromic Ink: This
heat-reactive ink will disappear or “drop out” when photocopied, exposed
to a heat source, rubbed with a fingertip or even breathed upon, and can
therefore be used to verify a document’s authenticity.
